Personal Update

Fri Jun 26, 2009, 1:56 AM
I'm not sure how many of you know ... I've beern goigng through some personal health issues lately.
I've been backwards and forwards to the Neurologist and having tests ... yadda, yadda, yadda.
Just thought you might like to know where I'm at.
I had some leisons, but the specialist said a few were normal at my age. So he's treating me with a drug that should reduce muscle spasms and improve my sleep. It's a drug for Parkinson's disease, but it can be useful to treat more mild conditions.

Last night was the first night that I used it and I did sleep well for the first half of the night, only to wake in the early hours of the morning and be unable to get back to sleep. The doctor said this might happen, as the drug can wear off, and that I could take some more. So I got up at about 4:30 and took some more. Mt husband woke me at 7am, and I really could have slept a little longer, but we had to get the kids to school.

With tomorrow being Saturday, I might get to sleep in and have a really good rest. Here's hoping things improve.

  • Mood: Caring
  • Listening to: The washing machine
  • Reading: The Secret Garden (for the second time)
  • Eating: Chocolate biscuits - yum
  • Drinking: tea

I hope you are able to get some real rest. It is never easy to be sleep deprived, especially as a mom. Take care of yourself and I am sending you lots of lavender and chamomile coated well wishes. :)

The only way creativity is wasted is if it is not used. There are no rights or wrongs. There are no imperfections, no limits, no rules. One must simply use the talents one has to the utmost to be a success.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Is it a sign of insanity that I get happy over compliments from Stockers? No. A stock photo, just like any other medium, takes a great deal of talent & skill to do right. Stockers are artists, too. Dammit! :shakefist:

I like to reminisce with people I don't know.

I have the world's largest collection of seashells. I keep it on all the beaches of the world . . . Perhaps you've seen it.

Thanks very much.
Last night wasn't good though, and I don't think the drug is doing what the specialist had hoped. I guess it's early days though.
Meh!!!

How's your HSC going?

Mmmm Lavendar.
I never used to like the smell as a child (my grandmother used it a lot). But now I am loder and I appreciate the claming afect it has, I enjoy it's scent.

You are right about the whole mum thing too. I love the kids to bits, but they add an extra 50% to my work load. (Each probably LOL)
