Important Stock Update

Sat Jan 2, 2010, 10:07 PM
Many of you may have noticed I'm not here often any more.
There are a few reasons for that.
1. Anna isn't as interested in having her photo taken, and isn't as pstient when she does get dressed up.
2. We've run out of costumes that fit.
3. I spend a lot of time here; :iconastraldreamer:
4. I'm working part time, and writing part time, so there isn't much time left for stock art.

But I'm thrilled to see that our stock is still being used and appreciated. Sometimes I have a quick look at what stock pictures are still being faved and it really is a big variety of the pictures we've taken.

So I'm leaving everything here. Don't panic.

BUT
I have some new rules

1. I won't be here much, so if you'd like to share something you've made with our stock, please send a note to me at my art account (astraldreamer) :iconastraldreamer:

2. There is no need to ask for permission to use any stock, or to make prints from your artwork as lond as you have made considerable changes to the original photo.

3. The same usages apply - no sexually themed deviations and only light horror or dark artworks to be made from our photos.

4. I LOVE seeing traditional artworks that have used our photos as reference, so please send me a note to tell me.

5. If you want to get in touch with me, please note me at my art account :iconastraldreamer:

Thanks for all your support and friendship over the years. I'm still at Deviant art quite a bit, so feel free to drop in at the art account and have a chat.

Have fun everyone. And you never know - I might get to put up new photos sooner rather than later.

Epilepsy

Mon Oct 19, 2009, 12:43 AM
\Anna's doctor called tonight to give us the results of her EEG. She had two little seizures (myclonic, no lapse of consciousness) during the flashing light test which the doctor said is common for people with general Epilepsy. She also had an abnormality of waves in the right hemisphere. She will need to have an MRI to check that it's nothing physical causing the brain waves to alter.

If the MRI is normal we won't have to see the doctor again until January (or if she has another seizure) to discuss medication.

She is understandably a bit scared.
And we are tired.

I won't be back for a while.
I'm sure you understand.

Our Star Stock model in hospital

Fri Sep 4, 2009, 8:49 PM
I've posted this on my art account too, so sorry if you get it twice.

Our daughter, Annalese (nearly 10) had a seizure this morning.
Our son, James (13) has epilepsy and has had seizures since he was 2. But Anna has never shown any signs of it until today.
I came in from hanging out the washing and found her on the floor. I think she might have been there a few minutes as I heard a crash when I was outside but dismissed it because I thought it was my husband, who was down the front of the house pulling out some trees.
We spent the mornign at the hospital.
She's tired, but fairly well now, apart form the bump on her head that she got as she collapsed.
So now we will have more investigations to go through with her ... poor lamb.
That makes both kids seeing Dr McCarthy for ADHD, both kids seeing Dr hardwick for epislepsy, me seeing Dr Morgan for ADHD, I have to find myself a good Rhumatoligist, but until then I've been seeing Dr Presgrave for Fibromyalgia, and Michael is seeing a chiropractor and phsyio for his bad back. Thank God for the Australian helath net system and our private health insurance.

(sorry if you got this journal twice)
I actually really like the art work I've been doign lately. I've been doing so much of it that I can see a definite style coming out.
Have a look at these two and tell me if you agree

And a much older work in the same style

I even see glimpses of it here

and here

While this style may not be everyone's cup of tea ... I'm really enjoying it. I totally love the process and I'm happy with the results.

So if I never sell anything, and never get a DD, that doesn't matter.

For the first time in ages I'm really enjoying the artwork and I can't seem to stop producing it!
